ON-LINE Computer Services Inc. technicians are skilled at installing,
configuring and trouble-shooting a variety of computer components from
fixing a “skittish” mouse to resolving a thorny Internet Mail issue.
OCSI’s collective experience goes back to the early days of computers
when the original IBM PC with the DOS Operating System and Lotus 123 first
appeared to define “personal computing”. It has developed, in step with
the industry, to support today’s advanced multi-user, multi-tasking
operating systems and applications configured into complex, integrated networks. |

Remote Support
Over the past year OCSI has expended considerable effort developing remote
support capability. Utilizing Windows Terminal Server, Windows Remote
Desktop (a component of Windows XP) and VNC (a remote access utility) OCSI
technicians can resolve many issues by remotely accessing affected
computers from our Halifax office. With this capability in place OCSI can
respond to many support calls quickly, effectively and with lower costs
than traditional on-site support calls. |
Corporate Support
OCSI specializes in supporting corporate networks utilizing Microsoft
operating systems – from first generation daisy-chained networks through
Windows NT to today’s Windows 2000 Advanced Server-based networks with
high-speed Internet access. OCSI technical staff install, configure,
upgrade and maintain the diverse components of today’s complex computing
environments to ensure maximum performance and reliability.

On-site Service
While remote access enhances our ability to effectively serve clients it
cannot replace on-site service calls. From delivering and installing a
new computer or peripheral to diagnosing and resolving a “blue screen of
death” computer problem OCSI technicians endeavor to respond to client
support calls promptly. When problems cannot be solved on the phone or by
remote support a technician is dispatched to the site for a “hands-on”
attempt at resolving the problem. Failing this the failed computer or
component will be returned to our offices where the full weight of our
diagnostic services and the collective experience of our staff can be
brought to bear. |
